About

Small World is a biting satire in which Parr observes global tourism and the search for authentic cultures the tourist’s quest has helped to destroy. It explores the difference between the reality and mythology of a tourist honey pot. The original edition of this book was published by Dewi Lewis in 1995, with a second edition in 2007 containing 70 colour photographs. "Martin Parr is a chronicler of our age. In the face of the constantly growing flood of images released by the media, his photographs offer us the opportunity to see the world from his unique perspective.
