About Teresa

Teresa Freitas (1990) is a Portuguese photographer and colourist. She attended the Faculty of Fine Arts in Lisbon, where she graduated with a degree in Multimedia Art, followed by a Masters in Design and New Media. But it was through Instagram and its non-formality that she began exploring the role of colour in photography. Teresa developed a signature style where she combines both soft and vibrant tones in the same image, subverting the places she photographs into something unfamiliar to reality, and, therefore, more cinematic. Teresa had her first solo exhibition in Seoul, South Korea, in January 2022, focusing on the colours of the Spring season and the places she has visited throughout the years.
