The Meeting of Two Eyes

The Meeting of Two Eyes

First edition, first impression of The Meeting of Two Eyes by Harada Kazumasa. Medium format hardback in new condition.

About

Attempts to observe and consider the concept of "time" through photography continue. Fragments of time illuminated by the sun's rising light in a chain everywhere on earth appear before our eyes, sometimes as events and sometimes as perceptual events. Time intersects countless times and layers, and falls down like sediment. I think that the overlapping time and its cross-section, including the past and present, can only be seen through photographs. Over the past few years, he has been filming and editing this work continuously while staying in various places such as Berlin, Paris, Vienna, New York, and Tokyo. While taking clues from the idea of "Two-Eyed Seeing", we connect time seen from two different aspects, events and phenomena, to create a single time that is both material and bicameral.
